On September 24th, 2010, the Atlanta Midtown Arts Festival will showcase the work of 30 chosen artist at the Silent Art Auction at Loews Hotel.
The Midtown Arts Festival committee selected 30 artists from an application process, and assigned these 30 artists with the challenge to paint a bar stool with the feelings evoked when one thinks about Midtown Atlanta.
The title and description of my piece is as follows:
“Piedmont Park: A Runner’s Paradise” -
Lace up your shoes, stretch your hamstrings, and bring the pup. Hydrate the core and clear the mind. Its time for you to center yourself again, wind down from the hectic city bussle so close, and enjoy the little gift from Nature that one calls Piedmont Park.

Aarica, I LOVE THIS PIECE! It’s so imaginative and fun. My favorite things about it are the painted scene and the lips with the straw in them. I declare this to be the winner!
